The physical surroundings in which we live have a huge influence on our wellbeing. They affect our physical and mental health, our security and safety.

Our commitment is to:
- Encourage community vigilance, whereby neighbours look out for each other and work together to discourage littering and other anti-social behaviour.
- Support effective waste disposal and recycling through free kerbside services, and easy access to waste and recycling centres.
- Improve street lighting and pathways to enhance personal safety and deter criminal activities.
- Work with Thames Valley Police and communities to achieve an appropriate neighbourhood police presence in order to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Ensure that the use of ANPR cameras is proportionate to their purpose, and all data are stored securely and managed in accordance with data protection legislation.
