Agenda for the Annual General Meeting
1. Welcome and Opening Remarks – Chair, Dr. Anne Gwinnett
2. Chairperson’s Annual Report – Chair, Dr. Anne Gwinnett
- Summary of key activities and achievements over the past year
3. Treasurer’s Report – Treasurer, Dr. Anthony Cheke
Presentation of the financial statement for the year
- Discussion of the current financial position
4. Election of Executive Committee Members
- Overview of the election process
- Candidate introductions
- Secret ballot voting for three executive committee positions (in accordance with Section 6 of the Party Constitution).
5. Strategic Priorities for the Upcoming Year
- Presentation of proposed party policies and strategic goals for 2025-26
6. Open Floor for Member Questions and Proposals
- Members to raise questions or submit proposals for consideration.
7. Announcement of Executive Committee Election Results – Secretary
8. Any Other Business (AOB)
9. Closing Remarks and Adjournment
Note: Members are encouraged to arrive early for registration. The meeting will begin promptly at 7.30pm.
Executive Committee Election
In accordance with Section 6 of the Party Constitution, three positions on the Executive Committee will be up for election. The election will be conducted by a secret ballot of the members present at the AGM.
If you are unable to attend the AGM, you may appoint another party member as your proxy to vote on your behalf at the meeting. Please send your written request for a Proxy Vote no later than 9th October 2025 to secretary@independentoxfordalliance.org stating the name of the party member whom you wish to appoint as your Proxy.
Standing for Executive Committee
Should you wish to stand for one of the Executive Committee positions, please complete and return the Nominations Form which much be received by 11:59pm on Thursday 2nd October 2025. The nomination form is available for download by pressing the button below.
After the AGM Business Is Complete
After the formal business of the AGM is concluded there will be an opportunity to hear from our city and county councillors about their priorities and achievements. There will also be discussion of our campaign plans for the City elections in May 2026, and how members can help.
We encourage all members to attend and participate in this important event.
